Haddon Lodge is a comfortable, detached, two bedroom bungalow that offers lovely holiday accommodation close to the stunning West Dorset coast. Situated in the village of Morcombelake, midway between the vibrant West Dorset market town of Bridport and the lovely seaside town of Lyme Regis, the house is ideal for both couples and families. It provides the perfect base from which to relax and explore this wonderful stretch of coastline, with immediate access to the A35 serving all routes to Jurassic Locations. All on one level, the property includes a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, as well as a lounge and separate dining room. A small, pretty and fully enclosed garden area with patio and furniture is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with winding country lanes and footpaths right on the doorstep. The beautiful South West Coast Path is only about a 20 minute walk away. Well behaved dogs are very welcome.
Morcombelake as well as having a farm shop, post office and bakery, is served by two regular bus routes running along the coast on the A35 - perfect for coast path walking. The delightful seaside village of Charmouth, with its famous fossil beach, is only a 5 minute drive away or about 45 minutes walk via the coast path. The beautiful National Trust land at Golden Cap is within easy walking distance, as are the pretty villages and rolling countryside around the Marshwood Vale. For those wishing to explore by car, this is the perfect location from which to discover all that this wonderful area has to offer.
Detached house on one level. Ground floor: Sitting room with TV/ DVD. Dining room. Fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. A step down to Bathroom with heated towel rail, bath, shower over bath and separate WC. Utility area with washer/dryer.
Patio area with furniture and small garden surrounded by mature shrubs and trees. A pet should be accompanied when in the garden.
Off road parking for one car (additional parking for a further car available by arrangement with the owner).

Excellent holiday, good location with excellent walks to take the dog. Owners were very helpful with places to visit.
The cottage was spick and span with everything we could possibly need.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Helen and Trevor were incredibly friendly and looked after us. Would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.
We had a wonderful week. Enclosed garden was perfect for our Border Collie to exercise. Accommodation was faultless - everything we needed. Owners were friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. Great walks through the village lanes and up Hardown Hill for fabulous views.

This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage and we shall be booking again. We received a warm welcome from Helen and Trevor and they went above and beyond expectations with a phone call to say we'd left some items behind and are posting them to us. We can't wait for next year!

We were very impressed with Haddon Lodge - clean, well equipped, all the comforts of home including the special welcoming touches such as fresh flowers and home made scones with cream and jam! Ideal location to travel out to places easily. We would highly recommend this lovely place.
We had a lovely stay at Haddon Lodge in July, with our two young sons. The location was great for Charmouth, Lyme Regis and the other beaches on the Jurassic Coast. The owner was very helpful, providing information on activities in the local area during our stay. The cottage was clean and welcoming, and will equipped. The washing machine and tumble drier were a bonus with lots of trips to the beach! Thank you!

The owners of Haddon Lodge are incredibly helpful, and we have stayed there 7 times because the whole area and experience of being in the cottage is so wonderful.
