Hollie Cottage is one of three attractive holiday properties, converted from a former dairy with a light and airy feel to the property and set in the pretty village of Colyford, close to the Jurassic coast. Colyford village is about a mile and a half from the seafront at Seaton and the pretty harbour at Axmouth and midway along the main coast road between the lovely seaside resorts of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. The cottage has been sympathetically restored with high oak-beamed ceilings and an attractive oak floor. The open-plan living area makes excellent use of the space with a large comfortable sofa, dining table and modern fitted kitchen. The separate bedroom has a King size bed and a luxury en-suite shower room.
Electric car charging point is now available onsite.
The village includes a small grocery store, an excellent butchers, a cycle shop and cafe. There are also a couple of traditional pubs, both serving food. This is a good base for couples to explore the wonderful area of West Dorset and East Devon. The popular Seaton Tramway, running along the beautiful Axe estuary, stops at Colyford providing the perfect way to sit back and discover the local area. For nature lovers, a few minutes walk away is an entrance to the Axe Estuary Wetlands Nature Reserve featuring many hides and viewing platforms. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with many wonderful inland footpaths nearby as well as the stunning South West Coast Path running along this section of the Jurassic Coast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. it was well situated to explore the local area with easy off road parking. The owners of the property were very helpful and informative. A walled garden that provided a perfect spot for a relaxing evening in the sunshine
It was wonderful and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The owners were lovely and welcoming and had loads of suggestions on walks and days out. The pub nearby and tram was amazing.
Hollie Cottage was perfect for a quiet, relaxing break. The hosts were most helpful, and everything in the cottage was first class - including a lovely welcome basket of "goodies"! I would definitely recommend Hollie Cottage, and my husband and I hope to return in the not-too-distant future.
We absolutely loved our stay. The quality of cottage was again outstanding as every property has been with Toad Hall Cottages. Everything was perfect!
We had a lovely holiday.
lovely cottage great location
This cottage is without doubt one of the better ones, from the welcome you get when you get there to the excellent facilities both inside and outside the cottage. Add to that the closeness of the coast and the many places to visit all you need is a little bit of sunshine and if you should get a lot of that rare commodity as we did, just turn on the very efficient ceiling fans for a comfortable nights sleep.
We had an excellent weeks stay in Hollie Cottage and the owners have ensured their guests are made comfortable with the excellent decor and furnishings. We will certainly return.
