June 2019

Spotlessly clean. Some kitchen utensils could do with an upgrade to match the rest of the bungalows furnishings.

April 2019

Very much appreciated the mattress topper. Much more comfortable sleep. Nice and quiet location. Neighbours were pleasant but seemed keen to ensure I did not park anywhere near their side of the garage forecourt. Always parked their car in middle making it awkward to reverse/park.

October 2018

We very much enjoyed our stay. The property was immaculately clean. The view was wonderful and we found it a very relaxing place to be,

August 2018

we enjoyed our stay. The surrounding, the service and the landscape were marvellous.

July 2018

The location of Mandon and the views from the property were excellent. The bungalow was clean and very comfortable. The garden and the wildlife (especially the glow worms) were a delight.

July 2018

We enjoyed staying at Mandon and would happily stay again. We did have a few issues - one was that the garden furniture was of poor quality and the table collapsed after one use. The other was that the tv stopped working. However both were rectified very quickly - within hours a new tv aerial was installed and new garden furniture delivered. We were very impressed with how helpful Toad Hall were so thank you for that.

June 2018

Really enjoyed our stay although the lane to & from Mandon was a bit of a pain. Loved the view & loved watching all the birds on the feeder.

May 2018

Problem with Oven were dealt with efficiency by Amy. She even went and sourced a new roasting tin as one provided was too big for oven. Good equipment in kitchen. Welcome pack very nice and much appreciated. I would have preferred to know months earlier that the main road on A379 was closed as this really restricted our plans and meant we couldn't do what we required. If we had known this we would have forfeited our deposit and found another property. Gardens that were owned by cottage could have been defined in the blurb in house. I would suggest you change the blurb to say that there are huge drops so not suitable for children or dogs. Lights in lounge area are not good enough to read, lamps are not reading lamps and unless you moved the L shaped sofas into middle of room the overhead lights and lamps and not good enough so that a suggestion. Also think you should advise people that it is short distance up a very narrow steep road you dont know until you get directions that this is the case.

April 2018

Neighbours new garage is right in front of view from lounge but they are working hard on the surrounding landscaping to make it attractive and have grass on the roof to make it blend in a little better. It did not distract from our enjoyment of the fine views.

Glad you had a relaxing holiday. The neighbours new garage is nearing final completion and will be painted and fully landscaped in the coming weeks. In the meantime the website pictures show the view with the garage as at the end of April.

April 2018

Second stay at this property, shame about the grey concrete block in the front garden area. Great location, peace and quiet, and great views despite the neighbours new 'garage'.

September 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the above mentioned ,exceptional in every way.

September 2017

We did enjoy our stay despite the weather not being great. We loved the views from the windows and we enjoyed some very nice walks.

September 2017

As regards cleanliness, refer to comments above. Using the vacuum cleaner also produced a horrible smell of dog.

July 2017

excellent location and facilities , very spacious etc . comfortable with very good views excellent for relaxing and chilling out , would certainly recomend and of course stay again.

June 2017

We had a wonderful holiday and Mandon was perfect. Within a couple of minutes of the seafront with cafe, pub and restaurant and yet very private with stunning views (we even saw a deer in the garden). The accommodation was spacious and immaculate with everything you could need including a BBQ. It was like home from home and the welcome pack was a nice surprise. We would definitely recommend it.

May 2015

Mandon is a lovely place to stay - so don't let the modern exterior put you off as the location is excellent and the views are stunning. Mandon was spotless when we arrived, has good quality fixtures and fittings and is exceptionally well equipped. The wood floors in the lounge and kitchen are easy to sweep and keep clean if you have a dog with you. The garden gets the sun all day but is not secure so we did need to keep our dog on a long lead. However, the Cove beach which is sandy at low tide is a three minute walk away so great for the dog to run on and easy to walk to Beesands round the corner. Thanks Toad Hall - we had a really lovely holiday and will certainly be back.

April 2013

The property was great, very clean, it looked recently decorated and had relatively new furniture. We couldn't ask for a better location and views. The only negative I would say is that the bed in the main room was very uncomfortable - it could do with a new mattress. Also it was a shame the house didn't have Wi fi, this would put me off staying here for two weeks.

Thank you for your comments. The owners have now installed unlimited download Wi-Fi and replaced the offending mattress. Come back next year and try them out.
