This tasteful retreat, situated off a quiet lane on the hill overlooking Torcross, Slapton Ley and the beautiful Start Bay is a perfect place for family holidays or couples looking for an interesting destination. Presented in a fresh, contemporary style, it boasts large reception rooms with picture windows that take full advantage of the great views of the sea and the nature reserve of Slapton Ley. All on one level, with a garden and garage it’s just a short stroll down the hill to Torcross with its 3 mile stretch of shingle beach, restaurants, tea rooms, pub and shop. This is also great walking country, with the South West Coastal Path leading you along the dramatic coastline to the lighthouse on rocky Start Point, passing through the pretty fishing village of Beesands and the sea battered ruins of Hallsands on the way. The historic port of Dartmouth with its famous golf club is a short drive away and the many popular golden sandy beaches of the beautiful South Hams are on your doorstep, with every variety of water sports that you can think of on offer.

For two cars, one in garage and one on the forecourt directly in front of the garage entrance. Please Note: The height of the garage door may be restrictive for tall 4 x 4 vehicles (see picture at end of picture gallery).

excellent location and facilities , very spacious etc . comfortable with very good views excellent for relaxing and chilling out , would certainly recomend and of course stay again.

We had a wonderful holiday and Mandon was perfect. Within a couple of minutes of the seafront with cafe, pub and restaurant and yet very private with stunning views (we even saw a deer in the garden). The accommodation was spacious and immaculate with everything you could need including a BBQ. It was like home from home and the welcome pack was a nice surprise. We would definitely recommend it.

Mandon is a lovely place to stay - so don't let the modern exterior put you off as the location is excellent and the views are stunning. Mandon was spotless when we arrived, has good quality fixtures and fittings and is exceptionally well equipped. The wood floors in the lounge and kitchen are easy to sweep and keep clean if you have a dog with you. The garden gets the sun all day but is not secure so we did need to keep our dog on a long lead. However, the Cove beach which is sandy at low tide is a three minute walk away so great for the dog to run on and easy to walk to Beesands round the corner. Thanks Toad Hall - we had a really lovely holiday and will certainly be back.

The property was great, very clean, it looked recently decorated and had relatively new furniture. We couldn't ask for a better location and views. The only negative I would say is that the bed in the main room was very uncomfortable - it could do with a new mattress. Also it was a shame the house didn't have Wi fi, this would put me off staying here for two weeks.

<p>Thank you for your comments. The owners have now installed unlimited download Wi-Fi and replaced the offending mattress. Come back next year and try them out.</p>
