We really enjoyed our stay. The one thing which was annoying during the day was the maintenance work in the cottage next to us. The workers were very friendly but it was loud and dusty between 9 am and 4 pm.
Loved our stay
Spent best part of a week.. absolutely lovely setting and cottage... glad we paid for a car park space a bit nearer than opposite the Crumplehorn though...
We had a gorgeous time the cottage is absolutely beautiful & perfect for families & couples etc it snowed when we arrived so was a bit cold on the walk over to the cottage but by the end of the week the sun was trying to come through. My most favourite part of the cottage was where it is situated as the views are outstanding. It was very cosy in the cottage we had the fire burning & enjoyed nights in as well as dinners out to the local pubs. We enjoyed staying at the cottage as it was very quaint & cosy we felt very secure. Polperro is a lovely small boat village we have been a few times & the locals are all very friendly & helpful.
Beautiful location but not deserving of 4* rating in my opinion
We very much enjoyed our stay - the view hasn't changed and is still amazing - although I must confess that we were glad to get home and sit on comfy sofas.
Lovely cottage excellent views .Had a great time.Toad hall cottages easy to deal with
excellent cottage and location hope to visit again soon
Friendly and efficient service - we had a fantastic holiday and will definitely return.
We loved this cottage very homely with fantastic views, we didn't want to leave. The cottage is well equipped even providing a picnic basket for those great costal walks. It is an old building so expect steep stairs, sloping floors and low ceilings. The village (as the cottage) is very picturesque, friendly and accommodating plus it is a good base for exploring Looe, Fowey, Mevagissey and all the surrounding areas. We will certainly book Nepenthe again plus our dog loved it.
Second time we have stayed at Nepenthe, and hopefully not the last. Lovely homely cottage, appointed with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. Our three year old son wants to live at Nepenthe, and we fully agree with him.
We chose our cottage from the Web site, The cottage was exactly as described, All information was up to date, We could see at a glance the availabilty and price, Booking process was quick and easy and knew exactly what we were paying for. I contacted Toad Hall by phone regarding parking arrangements and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and dealt with my request quickly. I have already recommended Toad Hall Cottages to work colleagues and I have added them to my favourites list for quick access for when I book another break away.
Spectacular views - a real home from home therefore a very relaxed and enjoyable holiday.
We have stayed in lots of cottages in Polpero in the last 15 years, the view from Napanthe was the best yet, the outside space was an absolute bonus! The cottage it's self needs a little updating but very comfortable.

Many thanks for your feedback - we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Nepenthe, the view really is fantastic! You'll be pleased to hear that the current owners have recently taken over the property, so they are in the process of updating and refurbishing the cottage and things will continue to change as the year progresses. We hope to welcome you to the South West again soon!
