A lovely, quiet dog friendly break.
We had an amazing time - the location and the cottage were fantastic. A Very peaceful area, the cottage had everything and the owner was very helpful and charming . A great place to chill and relax - we love this area and will certainly be back . Thank you .
a quiet location and there was plenty of room for a family.
Lovely cottage in a really peaceful location. Had a lovely few days, exploring the local area and will definitely be back.
Cleanliness on arrival was between disappointing and satisfactory, could be better
We had a wonderful stay. We have recommended to friends and would definitely return. The high points were definitely the tree house (my 4 year old son is still talking about it!) and the log burner.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & especially enjoyed the wood burner.
We very much enjoyed our week at Oak Tree Cottage, especially evenings in front of the log fire! A beautiful, peaceful, remote location, which suited our dogs as well. The owner was delightful and we fell in love with her extremely friendly Spaniel, Bertie. The East End Inn, not too far away, is strongly recommended. We would certainly return to Oak Tree Cottage.
Lovely cosy cottage with wood burner and a good supply of logs, The children enjoyed the super treehouse and we all loved the remote location down the gravel road well away from traffic noise. It was a good idea that a picnic backpack was provided which we used a couple of times with a wine cooler and plastic wine glasses. Convenient location for Beaulieu and Buckler's Hard. Great quiet country lanes for cycling in area. Better for cycling than walking from cottage itself, although we enjoyed the short walk to the private beach with the panorama of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Wifi very poor and couldn't even download emails or google tourist attractions let alone stream videos. This was the only disappointment really when the cottage is listed as having "unlimited wifi". There was also no mobile phone reception and with no telephone provided this was at times rather inconvenient. We feel we should have been warned about the lack of mobile phone reception and poor wifi. Otherwise everything was perfect and of course for some people an escape from mobile phones and wifi can be much appreciated!!
We all had a marvellous time and the holiday was an excellent experience. The lovely weather obviously helped. There is just one tiny criticism and that is that several items of dog fouling in the garden need to be removed.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Oak Tree Cottage. We are sorry that dog mess was found in the garden. We have forwarded your comments onto the owner for rectification. Many thanks, The New Forest Team.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The owners were very accommodating.
We had such a lovely stay at Oak Tree Cottage. Our children (aged six and three) loved the 'kids only' shed and toy cupboard, and the adults enjoyed relaxed evenings drinking a glass of wine in the garden after a leisurely BBQ. Burley is a beautiful village with some great pubs and walks, and the cottage is on a quiet and pretty lane. We had great days out to the sandy beach at Highcliffe and Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood which has an amazing kids forest play trail. The kids enjoyed paddling in the river near Brockenhurst. We also found the village church (St John the Baptist) warm and welcoming on Sunday.
This was a truly lovely cottage, very welcoming, a true home from home. Very well equipped for children. Loved the owners sense of style.
The cottage is lovely and in a great setting. The treehouse is a fantastic bonus.
A very comfortable cottage in a lovely village. I would stop there again and recommend to friends.
We stayed at Oak Tree Cottage the week after Christmas and had a very relaxing and peaceful time. The log burning stove kept us lovely and warm and the sofas were really comfortable. The area is great for walking and we found some wonderful pubs that provided excellent fare. We would love to stay there again some time.
