We really enjoyed the location, arriving by bus from Totnes station was very easy as we got off by the fire station. Very good being so close to High Street and Tesco. Having a dog with us the outside space and being so near the park was ideal. The ground floor was very attractively furnished and the kitchen was fine, but the upstairs was a bit bleak, no chair in the bedroom, a sad collection of pictures, and a grim bathroom. Overall we did enjoy our stay but I'm not sure if we would choose this cottage another time.
Cottage an ideal centre for exploring the wonderful south hams area. Lots of good restaurants around and cottage very nice. Netflix a nice bonus
We really appreciated our time here, the cottage was just perfect - everything we needed was here. We are happy to have discovered this beautiful area and hope to return soon.
Lovely week in Kingsbridge and surrounding area. Thurlestone lovely dog beach, our Lab absolutely loved it. Had some great meals - Crabshell, Tradesmans Arms, Seahorse in Dartmouth was fantastic (lovely scenic bus route). Cottage really comfortable and great at night. We hope to return.
The house is lovely, the area is great and we have had a good time. We have also watched a lot of Netflix! Thank you!
Patchwork is in a very good location: the shops are literally a minute or two away on foot but the house itself is quiet and peaceful. It is also a mere five to ten minutes from some beautiful walking country with a multitude of paths to choose from. The cottage itself is cozy and comfortable with a sweet garden and a decked terrace which catches the morning sun in time for breakfast. The cinema system is a great bonus (although the local cinema is a stone's throw from the house if you want the latest block-buster). The kitchen is small but perfectly functional. The local area is one of outstanding natural beauty and there are any number of good pubs to try out. Surfing at Bantham Bay is also an option. There is certainly enough to do in the area to keep adults, children and animals occupied. Equally, it is a great place to take a break and chill out.
