Just minutes from iconic Burgh Island, famously a former retreat of Agatha Christie and Noel Coward, more recently the setting for Lovejoy and many magazine photoshoots,  it boasts a fabulously quirky hostelry, the Pilchard Inn, steeped in history with tales of smuggling, which opens to the public for lunches and drinks.  Reached on foot at low tide along a stretch of golden sands, or at times by the unique Sea Tractor,across the  the gorgeous beaches of Bigbury on Sea which stretch all the way to the Avon estuary. This part of the coast has been a long standing favourite destination for windsurfers, kitesurfers, with Surf School and Hire available from the beach for all watersports enthusiasts; the perfect destination for families who want to enjoy their holiday having fun on the beach and those who enjoy the bracing beauty of coastal walks at any time of the year.

To the rear of the property is a sloping entrance levelling out to a path, which can give alternative access leading to the front door, for those with walking difficulties.
