Having read comments of previous tenants there were several things that needed mending and had not been addressed which we felt was not acceptable and could not understand why they had not been sorted. Beige carpets needed cleaning, windows were dirty, cooker and baking trays dirty also found cheese grater had been put away with cheeseand still on it! Bedroom drawers in downstairs room and also in one room upstairs not workable. Garden really needing a major cut back and tidy up. Entrance hall needed a larger mat to stand on when wiping dog down. Plus points it was quiet and a good place to explore the forest.
Sofa getting old
Lovely stay in a great location. Cottage was fab except for heating and towel issues. White carpet with a dog friendly cottage isn’t ideal but we did our best to dry him off every time.
We enjoyed our stay and the property was improved from last year in particular the kitchen
Loved it!Comfortable, welcoming, bright, spacious, modern property.Fab location.Would agree with previous comments from guests that the garden/trees could do with more maintenance to allow more sun around the property.Shame not to make the most of a BBQ on a lovely summer night. However wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
Yes..top marks ..we even stayed 2 days extra..really enjoyable.
We did enjoy our stay although it was a nightmare trying to keep the cream carpets clean with two boisterous dogs and two teenage boys! Having to walk over the lawn when we got out of the car to go into the house didn't help. Good selection of games , books and DVD's. A night light on the top landing would be handy as I almost fell down the very steep stairs. Perhaps a sensor one which comes on when there is movement. Found the beds in the eaves very low. Not so easy to get out of when you are older but the double bed was exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen tap needs repairing. It's awkward trying to fill the kettle but it had already been mentioned in the comments book some time ago. A bread knife would be handy too, if there is one I didn't find it.
Hello and thank you for your comments. We hope any minor issues didn't interfere with your enjoyment of the holiday. We thank you for your comments, the kitchen will be replaced this coming winter. We hope you will revisit the New Forest again soon.

We both enjoyed our stay and will almost certainly book again next year
loved it and it was just what the family needed after a very fraught year.
Yes we enjoyed our stay and would happily book the cottage again
We had a lovely time. We loved the house. It was very comfy. We would come again if we can.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cooker and equipment very greasy, sink broken, tap very loose & sealent broken back of sink. No bedside lights upstairs also a mirror would be good in the back room. Dining room chairs wobbly, & only 2seats had cushions. Double glazing misty ? Seals broken. Pity as view, especially to front spoilt when sun on window. Front doors needs good clean & polish, and weeds need removing from path/front patio. First impressions so important. House is good, very peaceful with great potential, Just feels a little unloved.
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you encountered some minor maintenance issues when you stayed at the property earlier this month. All of your points have been passed on to the owners for consideration and rectification. We agree that first impressions are important and the owners are deeply saddened that any of these issues affected your stay at the property. The Bumbles has recently received a good degree of refurbishment to ensure guests are comfortable during their stay. The owners are planning further refurbishment to the property later this year which will only further improve the overall look and feel of this already lovely property in the heart of the New Forest. We hope you will return to the New Forest again soon.

The Bumbles is an excellent property - we were overjoyed with the welcome pack as we arrived at 9pm. We would definitely go back :)
