This 300 year old Coach House is located within an attractive walled courtyard and exhibits a charming character emphasised by retaining some of its original features such as old beams and an inglenook fireplace with working wood burner. Recently renovated with oak flooring mixed with the original flagstones from its past history this property is finished to a high standard with a fabulous dining table for family friendly gatherings. This property and the very appealing Stable Cottage across the courtyard, offers combined holiday acccomodation for up to 10 people in the Old Coach House and up to 5 guests in Stable Cottage. The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break and the famous Cob to explore. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday and wish to leave the car behind at the property its only a 20 minute walk to the beach, promendae and town along the picturesque river walk that leads to towards the Town Mill. Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster & Fish House, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, and small theatre can be found.

Entrance porch to front door and hallway. Lounge has a leather 5 seater sofa and two armchairs, flat screen TV, three feature chairs and a Wood burner. Kitchen with Full Range gas AGA (this will be unavailable in the summer unless specially requested by the guest), double oven and grill, American Fridge with plumbed in chilled water feed and ice cube maker, 4-slice toaster, dishwasher and microwave. Groundfloor cloakroom. Utility room (shared) with washing machine, tumble dryer and drying facilities. Dining area consists of an impressive dining table for up to 15 people, with the adddition of a small kitchen table to seat a smaller group. A second Lounge area has a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa along with table foootball and Flatscreen TV. Patio doors lead to the terrace and garden.
Stairs to first floor and Bedroom 1 with a 4ft 6inch double bed. Family bathroom with separate shower and bath, W.C. and wash basin. Bedroom 2 with 4ft 6inch four poster bed. The Coach House was perfect for a large family group with plenty of space for all ages. We particularly enjoyed using the Aga even though it was summer! A couple of small vegetable knives and a set of kitchen scales would have been helpful. We enjoyed the walk down to the town and the aerobic walk back up the hill. Overall we had a wonderful holiday. We had a wonderful week at The Coach House. We loved the area and will definitely be back again.
The house was perfect for our large family group, with plenty of room for everyone. We loved the big open plan kitchen/living/dining area, and it was really nice to have the additional "grown up" sitting room away from it all. The house was very nicely decorated, and very clean and tidy.
The Coach House was very suitable for our family of 10 and we enjoyed ourselves enormously.
A character property with lovely scenery on the hillside above the river Lim. The fruit bowl, milk and wine made a great welcome pack. We had a good holiday in spacious, comfortable accommodation.
Yes, we all had a very lovely time at The Coach House. The cottage was warm & welcoming on our Friday evening arrival. We had snow during our weekend and the cottage was wonderfully warm throughout. The dinning area is simply perfect for large family gatherings. The bedrooms are very cozy. The little garden is just the right size and position and the children enjoyed making snowmen in it! The Coach House is well equipped and perfect for family gatherings to Lyme Regis. We made good use of the utility room due to having small children. The town is within walking distance although we didn’t try due to the conditions. Defiantly a good location and property for a relaxing family trip away.
