So named because the original owners were accomplished golfers, The Nineteenth is now enjoyed by a family of keen surfers and lovers of water sports. Refurbished throughout, this attractive property offers light and airy accommodation with wonderful views of the coastline and sea from many of the rooms and the sunny raised terrace. Located just a short walk from the sandy beach and the South West Coastal Path it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic spot, summer or winter, with so much for families and couples to do on the doorstep. The open plan living area provides a perfect venue for getting together with friends and family and the garden provides a sheltered spot to soak up some sun or dine alfresco. The Nineteenth is on one level and parking for two cars provides added convenience.
Please Note: Although this property will accept one well behaved dog, no dogs under 1 year old will be considered.

"Excellent location and very comfortable! A very well equipped and maintained property. Fantastic location for the beautiful beaches at Bigbury on sea. A very nice bungalow and very convenient position for the beach. Beds very comfortable. The Nineteenth could do with a bit of a spring clean though, a few cobwebs noticed on the light shades and a couple of dusty corners, but nothing too major. Our family had a lovely week there, the children loved the surfing. Access to Bigbury on Sea down the Devon lanes might be more of a problem in the summer, the week before Easter it wasn't too bad.
Thank you for your valued feedback which we have passed on to the Owner and caretaker. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and the lanes - once you get used to them they aren't too bad at all really. But well worth the effort to reach that beautiful beach! We look forward to welcoming you back to South Devon. The Toad Hall Team.

We absolutely loved our Christmas stay, so relaxing in such a lovely home. The only problem was the grill pan was absolutely full of fat which I had to clean before I could use it, it must have been overlooked.
Thank you for your feedback and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. So sorry that the grill pan was missed, this has been passed on to the caretaker and owner who apologise for this oversight. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. From the Toad Hall Team.

We loved the house and will definitely come back. Really comfy beds
Really lovely bungalow with everything we needed for a comfortable family holiday. The views were to die for and just a short stroll to those glorious beaches. Would love to go again maybe next year.
Excellent cottage in great location which flows well inside. Great time had by all including Max the dog.
Our stay was lovey just a few things mentioned above. Otherwise very pleasant
A lovely location to stay with the beach nearby. Lovely sunny gardens. Views from house are marvellous.
See comments already made - it was a fabulous house and we have booked for next year!
Just the most beautiful location. We loved the house, its layout and in particular the large sliding doors at the front which allow for the most amazing views. We will be back!
Fantastic for us as a three generation family! Such a short walk to the beach meant we could go as often as we wanted. And what a beautiful part of England. We will be back
The views from the property are simply stunning. It was very well equipped with everything our family needed. It was beautifully clean on arrival and the cream tea was a lovely and very welcome. We would love to return!
It was our third visit to The Nineteenth and we enjoyed it as much this time as we did the previous times. After a day out or a walk from the property it is a very pleasant place to come back to relax in the garden or on the balcony.
Wonderful location with excellent coastal views. The layout of the property is lovely and having two gardens was a real bonus.
As ever an exceptional property . Everything a family could need for a splendid holiday is provided .
have booked with toad hall now for five years, will continue
We did not see the caretaker or owner so I have left the answer as average but that was fine with us. This property has amazing views from all angles and the sunsets from the balcony were beautiful.
We had a great holiday and will probably book the accomodation again
Had a great holiday and are hoping to book again for next year. Many thanks.
