Thank you so much for letting us stay in Torrings. Despite the changeable weather we managed to get out and about exploring old haunts and even finding new areas too. Torrings was lovely and clean and comfortable, the best cottage we've stayed in.
Lovely cottage, everything we could have hoped for, made all the better as it was pet free. We always choose pet free, as in the past we've hired cottages that allow dogs and not been happy.

This place is like walking into the moulin Rouge.... It's an incredible experience. You never quite know what to expect when you enter into the rabbit hole of East Prawle. However, one thing is for sure, it's all happening in the Pigs Nose. With Atomic Kitten playing last year it draws crowds from far and wide. You would never know what awaits behind the doors of the pigs nose when you drive into the sleepy little village of East Prawle. Whatever the night holds, quiet or explosive, you are sure to be entered. Recently there have been some insanely talented musicians playing at the pub. The landlady and her son gives everyone a warm welcome and makes you feel like your in your own sitting room. It is definitly worth coming the extra mile for.
A fantastic pub - wonderful atmosphere, great food, and friendly staff
Needs a good clean and then it could be a great pub.
What a great pub. Friendly atmosphere, good food and local cider.
A really fabulous, relaxed, enjoyable pub, with a great mix of locals, tourists, old and young and lots of lovely dogs. Fabulous food and a selection of games to play too. Really loved it.
Beer good, but food extremely indifferent (a Saturday lunch time). Very disappointed this time as last time we came to the area, we could have eaten there every day.
Lovely friendly and quirky pub. Excellent cask ales and one of the best Fish and Chip lunches ever. Would love to come back for one of their gig nights.
Great little pub - nice pint of Red Devon and Devon Pride!
Why oh why didn't we go there more often...only went on our last night. Such a lively, personable and vibrantly vivid place with wonderful staff and exceptional food - loved it!
Very good local beer and terrific atmosphere with old-fashioned opening hours.

A beautiful, clean little café with a good menu. Very tasty food and friendly service. Would highly recommend.
Really high quality, homemade food with great service. Fantastic!
Lovely afternoon teas!
Adorable cafe with nice food. A bit overpriced, but worth it!
Coast @ Gara Rock
Closed until Spring 2018 In one of the most stunning locations in South Devon with panoramic sea views, Coast@Gara Rock is a great place to visit in all seasons. In summer sit on the terrace for light lunches, burgers, cream teas, or an ice cream on the way up from the beach below; and in winter watch the waves crashing from the comfort of the restaurant with its huge floor to ceiling windows.

Dinner was amazing. Pre book a table and ask for a window view of the bay. Lunch was good. Staff really lovely.
Superb place for weekends cakes, breakfast and lunch and beautiful dinner menu through the summer and very dog friendly!
A must visit after a long walk. Good menu and drink selections. Amazing views. Dog friendly.
Still very much closed on 040518, and just a busy building site. I'd be surprised if it's open this summer.
A small pub in a beautiful setting serving excellent classic English pub food with a hint of French thrown in. Here you will find true seasonal field to plate eating using the best produce the local area has to offer accompanied by local ales and good quality French wines. Sunday roasts accompanied by live Jazz are especially popular.

The Millbrook Inn clear only wants rich adults to come and visit, its menu does not welcome children and this is a great shame.
Great pub, great atmosphere.
An interesting and different menu- think top end gastro pub. Lovely place to be, very friendly owners and helpful staff.
My husband and I ate at Millbrook tonight, absolutely beautiful meal and great service, thank you!
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. The best meal we had on holiday. Children were made to feel very welcome and a very reasonably priced children's menu.
Brilliant pub, friendly, fun staff, Charlie the landlord is working really hard to make this a great place for all to visit.
Lovely pub- excellent food and very dog friendly
A beautiful old pub with real ales, very good food and friendly staff. Right on a stream, lovely wood fire. Lovely garden for the summer.
Outstanding Sunday roast EVEN IF the lamb and the beef look exactly the same, they ain't. Fabulous staff too!

Fantastic walk with wonderful views, you'll find the best beach in the South Hams hear, bit of a walk but it is glorious.
We really enjoyed our visit. My husband and son had a tour (£5 per adult and under 5's free) and thought it was brilliant. Children under 1.1m's tall can not go on the tour so my younger son and I enjoyed the coastal views which were fantastic.
Had a really interesting tour at the end of September, which was the highlight of our holiday. Out guide, Mary, was very friendly and informative. Would highly recommend this. Fantastic location and views and very interesting history. Thanks Mary.
Salcombe Dinghy Sailing
Salcombe is known for its unique sailing opportunities thanks to the spectacular coastline. A favourite destination amongst some of the best in the sailing community, getting out on the water is very much part of the South Devon holiday experience, and at Salcombe Dinghy Sailing, owners Zoe and Ross are a highly skilled, warm and friendly duo who make you feel safe, happy, confident and well prepared on the water whether you’re having lessons, hiring a boat, are a beginner or a practiced sailor looking to sharpen your skills. Just make sure you bring warm, waterproof clothing with you – it can get nippy our there!
Yawl & Launch Hire Salcombe
Hiring a traditional Salcombe Yawl or launch is a fabulous way to explore the Salcombe estuary taking in the beaches and wildlife along the way. The Salcombe Yawl is an attractive 16ft dingy unique to Salcombe suitable for racing or cruising with the family, or alternatively, less experienced sailors can hire a sturdier harbour launch with inboard engine to potter from beach to beach. Both are available on a weekly basis along with everything you need to have and enjoyable yet safe time on the water. Sailing tuition in a Salcombe Yawl, or leisurely skippered sails around the harbour are also available in the safe hands of experienced local sailor Scratch Hitchen.

Rugged and unspoiled, Lannacombe is the beach for those looking for total escapism on their South West holiday. Small and perfect for escaping from the summer crowds, it’s one of the best places to visit to simply enjoy the Devon scenery in all its natural glory. There’s a small car park just behind the beach so do get there early in order to guarantee a space, although there is further parking a short walk away if need be. Dogs are welcome at the beach throughout the year and as it offers access to the Coast Path it’s a good idea to combine your visit with a walk to take in the views of sea and countryside, perhaps towards Start Point where there is further parking around 30-40 minutes away on foot. At low tide the beach offers gentle rock pooling so it’s a lovely spot to head to for a quiet afternoon with the family, building sandcastles and eating sandwiches if you remember to bring them. There aren’t any cafes and restaurants immediately on site, so do remember to take anything you need with you, and there aren’t any toilets in the near vicinity either, so that’s worth keeping in mind when you plan your day. If you have been on holidays in Devon and Cornwall before you will also know that you need to watch our for the tide at many of the beaches, including this one in order to avoid disappointment or getting wet, you can pick up a tide timetable at local post offices!

Gorgeous beach, but be careful if you have a dog that likes to run as our Border Collie got very sore paws on the pebbles.

A bit of a walk down from the car park but so worth it, arguably the best beach in the South Hams
