We loved Waverley Cottage, what a gem. Also to find a property which has a proper enclosed secure garden for the dogs was wonderful and also we were able to take the dogs on the beach after 1 October We used the cottage for a base and loved in particular Lyme Regis, the beach at Burton Bradstock, Sidmouth and the walk up to Golden Cap and of course our morning walks along the beach at Charmouth. We were blessed with a lovely sunny week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waverley Cottage. 10/10.
We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage has lots of little touches that made it a home from home. I always base my thoughts on a holiday stay on if i could live there, and i could. We were a little confused by if we needed to actually put the bins on the roadside or not? also the man from the cream cottage up the lane came down and put bottles in our recycling bin, not sure if it was a communial one or just ours. We took them out and put them in a box. Might be good to make it clear if it is a communial bin or not?
The cottage was in a great location, short walk to the beach and shops in the high street.
We did enjoy the week very much .
Very enjoyable and won't hesitate to book with Toad Hall again.
Glass in ensuite bathroom is not obscure - one can easily see through from carpark! Cleaning of the fluff (found retrieving dog's toy) under furniture in lounge needs attention.
Thank you for the feedback. The owners recently installed a new blind in the ensuite for the added benefit of privacy when in use. The cleaners do a great job but now and again little bits are missed. We hope you enjoyed the delights of Charmouth and Lyme Regis whilst staying at Waverley Cottage.

A really lovely house - warm, homely and clean. Really well equipped - for example such a treat to have access to a variety of pans to cook with and to enjoy a wine in a 'proper' glass; in so many self catering properties you are provided with cheap, small glasses which are so miserable! The little extras like the milk in the fridge, a basket of logs, the daffodils and biscuits were very much appreciated. The bedding was crisp, smelt lovely and was again of good quality, towels also. We enjoyed the art on the walls, tasteful furnishings and interesting ornaments; the fossil selection was a real hit with the boys. Excellent wifi connection also. We genuinely loved the house and Charmouth itself and will definitely return. Thank you. (The only thing we lacked during our stay and could be something for the owners to consider adding (a very minor thing really) would be a set of oven gloves and some tea towels. The lady at Toadhall did tell me on the phone that tea towels were provided and so I didn't bring any. The problem was easily solved by the Charmouth hardware shop however and we did leave them behind for the next occupant!!!)
Thank you for the wonderful feedback, we are delighted you had a great holiday at Waverley Cottage. We were unaware of the oven gloves and tea towels and this should be resolved now.
