Western Cottage nestles in the market town of Dulverton, southern gateway to Exmoor. The town has a selection of delightful inns, restaurants, cafes and shops.  This is stunning county with wooded valleys and meandering rivers overlooked by the raw beauty of the open moors. There is plenty to do in this area, whether you enjoy walking, pony trekking, cycling or exploring by car and the beautiful Exmoor coastline, Minehead and the picturesque seaside villages of Lynton, Lynmouth and Ilfracombe are all well worth visiting. There are some great beaches along the coast, so why not try your hand at surfing on the popular Croyde beach!

After an exhilarating day, you can return to the comfort of Western Cottage which has been modernised in an attractive contemporary style with a large living area, with woodburner stove for those colder evenings. There is a private courtyard at the rear of the cottage and parking at the front.

Front door to open plan living kitchen dining space. Sitting area with two leather sofas, woodburning stove, flatscreen TV with DVD and Freeview. Door from sitting area to rear lobby with door to rear courtyard, utility cupboard housing washing machine and door to shower room with shower, hand basin and WC. From the sitting area, one step up to kitchen area with bespoke kitchen units, Rayburn cooker, fridge, freezer, Bosch Tassimo Vivy Hot Drinks and Coffee machine (guests must bring their owner Tassimo coffee pods) and microwave. Dining area with table to seat 6. First floor. Master bedroom with 5ft bed and open plan feature roll top bath within the bedroom and partitioned hand basin and WC area. Second bedroom with 4ft 6in bed. Third bedroom with two 3ft beds under mezzanine floor.

We've stayed here twice now as we have friends nearby and it's great for a young family.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One slight issue is the kitchen back door would not open, think the handle needs fixing. Log fire was excellent and the kitchen well appointed throughout. Will probably book again. Did I mention wifi ????

Had a lovely time, location is perfect, we were very lucky with the weather, pubs and cafes are excellent spent far too much money in the book shop buying lovely pictures ;). Perfect little break see you again next year

Great location easy for shops and pubs. Dulverton has all you need for a weeks break. Harts Fly Fishing is excellent with large quantity of trout caught. Mostly released!

The cottage was lovely and warm and comfortable. The shower was very good, but the kitchen equipment was not very clean, a dishwasher would have made a difference. Cooking items were very limited only large ones, no coffee making facilities. The town of Dulverton was lovely some really good eating places and coffee shops which was good as the cooking facilities was disappointing.

An absolutely lovely cottage in an amazing place! The house had everything you needed and is was slightly bigger than it looks from the pictures. The pub was a couple of yards one way and the town center a couple yards the other way, perfected. Would 100% stay again.

Western Cottage was a good size and well fitted out. It's position in Dulverton was fantastic, both for walking during the day and for eating out etc in the evening.

This cottage is situated right in dulverton which is a great little village with some lovely places to eat in short walking distance. There is only a small decked courtyard at the back of the cottage, but the cottage itself is nice and spacious. There is only room for one car to park at the front but there is ample parking within a short walking distance. A very comfortable cottage and a lovely break! I would definitely stay here again.

Western Cottage is a really lovely cottage in which to stay and it is also in a very nice location, being in the centre of Dulverton village close to several pubs and with lots of independent shops. However, there were a couple of small things, we felt that the kitchen with its "homemade" cabinets and doors let the property down a little as a couple of the doors didn't close properly and it didn't match the quality of the furnishings elsewhere in the house. Also, a couple of clocks would have been useful too, with maybe a clock radio in the main bedroom. Also it would have been a great help to have wi-fi too! We all enjoyed our stay in Western Cottage and would love to stay again!
