Great Rill Farm, surrounded on all sides by the glorious green rolling hills typical of this area, is home to Anna's Cottage. Set in 85 acres of open countryside, the farm is home to a lake (unfenced) which makes it an ideal spot for a stroll. A public footpath runs through the grounds and leads to a network of footpaths and bridleways, perfect for exploring. A wild-flower meadow has been set aside especially so that canine companions may stretch their legs too!
All on the ground floor (with only 3 internal steps), this pretty cottage with its rose covered façade is traditionally furnished creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The country kitchen/diner is bright and spacious whilst the lounge with its wood burning stove is cosy and comfortable. Wake in the mornings to gentle birdsong and views over the garden from the restful double bedroom.
Anna’s Cottage is situated only 3 miles from the small but thriving town of Bampton. This historic Charter town, which lies close to the Somerset border, is on the edge of the Exmoor National Park and is famous for its floral displays and Charter Fair which is always the last Thursday in October. Complete with 2 grocery stores, 4 pubs, a bakery, a butcher, greengrocers, pharmacy, post office, library, café, fish bar and even a beautiful homeware shop you should be able to find everything you need close by.
The barn is the perfect place to explore the coast and countryside - A 30-minute drive will take you to the harbour at Watchet and a further 15 minutes’ drive will land you at the sandy beach of Minehead! For the keen cyclist, the West Country Way cycle route takes in Bampton and on into the Exmoor National Park, a unique landscape of moorland, woodland, valleys and farmland.
Front door to porch area, door on left to utility room with washing machine and tumble drier and access to the garden. Further door to the country-style kitchen, complete with electric built in oven and hob, fridge with ice box (further freezer in communal store room), microwave, kettle and toaster. Dining area with dining table and chairs to seat 4. Bathroom with WC, hand basin, bath with shower over and heated towel rail. Two steps up from the kitchen/dining area to the lounge with comfortable sofas, TV with DVD player, CD player with radio. One step up from the lounge to the bedroom with 4ft 6 bed.
To the front of the cottage, there is an enclosed private garden with patio, lawn and borders, also table and chairs and loungers.
Allocated parking for one car directly adjacent to the property.

We have been to a lot of places in the past, but this place is the best we have ever been to. Everything you want or need is in here. Lovely area, quiet and peaceful. Tea and cakes left on table a welcoming thought, I dont think this place can be beaten. Jo and family are so friendly Thank you, we will be back for the 4th year next year.
What can I say! Just perfect, a home away from home! Everything you could every want at your fingertips. We came 15 years ago and such vast improvements since. Had a great visit and we will be back again.Thank you Jo and family - a credit to your hard work!
