Description

Court Barton No. 7 provides luxurious and very stylish accommodation in the South Hams. Part of the upper courtyard, No. 7 faces onto the enclosed courtyard gardens with patio terrace at the rear. This cottage is on two levels and has glorious views of the sea and surrounding countryside from the living room, bedrooms and private terrace.   

Peacefully situated in a tiny hamlet in one of the loveliest corners of Devon between Salcombe and Thurlestone are the attractive group of converted Georgian barns that comprise Court Barton. All cottages enjoy the use of the newly refurbished outdoor (May Spring Bank Holiday to Sept) and indoor (all year) heated swimming pools, games room with table tennis and table football, an all-weather tennis court, and the extensive grounds which includes two attractive courtyards, an orchard and croquet lawn. Should you wish to leave the comfort of this delightful place, less than a mile away is the beach at Thurlestone Sands, wonderful for sunbathing, swimming and watersports, with the village of Thurlestone itself a little further on with its famous links golf course. The beautiful sailing mecca of the Salcombe estuary with its golden beaches is only 3 miles.

Front door into hall with open plan living/dining room and kitchen. Two 3 seater sofas, wall mounted flat screen TV with SKY PLUS, electric wood burner heater, circular dining table, chairs and sliding patio door to the terrace. Fitted kitchen with granite worktops, cupboards, large fridge and freezer, induction hob, built in oven and microwave. Off the entrance hall is a bunk bedroom with two sets of bunk beds with underbed storage (and few hanging hooks on door). Understairs a cupboard housing a washer/dryer. Upstairs, double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, TV/DVD  and luxury en-suite shower room with shower, basin and WC. Twin bedroom with 3ft beds. Luxury bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.

Private terrace with table and recliner chairs with stunning views over rolling countryside down to the sea. It is the perfect spot to relax after a day on the beach.

It was very well equipped. We were amazed at the amount of children's games and books which were a great joy to us and our grandchildren .

an excellent holiday and the only negative is the traffic on the narrow lanes.
