Peacefully situated in a tiny hamlet in one of the loveliest corners of Devon between Salcombe and Thurlestone are the attractive group of converted Georgian barns that comprise Court Barton. All cottages enjoy the use of the newly refurbished outdoor (May Spring Bank Holiday to Sept) and indoor (all year) heated swimming pools, games room with table tennis and table football, an all-weather tennis court, and the extensive grounds which includes two attractive courtyards, an orchard and croquet lawn. Should you wish to leave the comfort of this delightful place, less than a mile away is the beach at Thurlestone Sands, wonderful for sunbathing, swimming and watersports, with the village of Thurlestone itself a little further on with its famous links golf course. The beautiful sailing mecca of the Salcombe estuary with its golden beaches is only 3 miles.

Railed exterior stone steps lead up to the front door and first floor level. Master bedroom with double bed, superb views and en-suite featuring shower cubicle, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 - dorm room with two sets of bunk beds (both 2m x 80cm with foam mattresses) and door to master bedroom en suite. Bathroom with bath, shower over and hand shower, basin and WC. Stairs (no hand rail, open one side) rise to the second floor level to a superb living room with triple aspect windows, log burner and patio doors to a balcony that overlooks the whole valley and outstanding views down to Thurlestone Sands. This stunning room has oak flooring with the stair well enclosed with a glass and steel balustrade. Two generous sofas, 2 single fold out beds/armchairs, Smart TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc (you will need your own accounts to access), DVD, dining table to seat 6. The room extends through into a smart contemporary fitted kitchen with large fridge and separate freezer, built-in larder shelving, Neff gas hob and electric built-under oven, integral Neff microwave, Miele washer/dryer and dishwasher, Nespresso machine (capsules not provided).

Car parking is available. Guests are asked to park one car in the lower or upper car parks. Additional cars, once unloaded, should be moved to the overflow car park.

We had a wonderful stay - the location was breathtaking - as were the views... a really lovely, peaceful, uncluttered cottage. Great facilities and wonderful Toad Hall service as ever. And a big thank you for the champagne and dog goodies!!

Have stayed at Court Barton several times over the past 15 years and always had great time. Do miss the restaurant facilities but the Beach restaurant at south Milton Sands almost makes up for it. Dog welcome pack a nice touch.
