On the banks of the River Plym is the quiet waterside village of Hooe, former site of the once grand Radford stately home. Radford & Hooe Lake is a haven for wildlife and a much-loved conservation area, attracting nature enthusiasts all year round. Less than a mile from Hooe is Mount Batten, where you can catch a ferry across to the historic maritime city of Plymouth. In a quiet corner of the village is Oak Cottage, a charming and tastefully furnished dwelling with lovely views of the tidal lake. Oak Cottage has its own pontoon and nearby slipway, it’s also one of our many dog-friendly holiday cottages. The village has two pubs and a general store.
