Lovely garden

April 2018

We had a very enjoyable stay. It was ideal for us and our family from NZ. Great garden and extra play space in the garage room was great for children and adults alike. Thank you too for wine, coffee and tea bags which gave an extra touch. Thankyou

We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday due to great location and spacious accommodation. However, the problems already mentioned do not justify the price of this holiday rental and it feels as if the owners do not care about the wellbeing of their guests and their experience is clearly not at the forefront of the owner's mind.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback about your recent stay at Gateways. We are sorry there were some maintenance issues experienced. We can confirm that some remedial work has been carried out since your departure to address these. We hope to welcome you back to the New Forest in the future.

May 2017

We did enjoy our stay very much and there were some nice touches like the provision of dishwasher tablets and other cleaning materials. The location is great with lots of interesting places within easy reach for day trips. The cottage is very spacious but it would be good to see enough comfortable chairs for the 8 people it would accommodate. There are IKEA armchairs in the garage/table tennis room which would be better in the lounge with something else e.g. stools in the garage. Overall a very good holiday.

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Gateways. The owner has now been made aware of the issue with seating. More seating will be added to the lounge. We hope to welcome you back soon.

Eight of us stayed here for the long Easter weekend. We all had a great time - the cottage is large, with two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. The kitchen and living rooms are large and well equipped - plenty of space for all of us. Outside, there's a really nice sized garden (great for an Easter Egg Hunt!) and the separate games room and table tennis table were a real added bonus. When you add in that you're in a lovely part of the world where you're relatively secluded, where there are loads of country roads and paths to walk around and yet where there is a large supermarket and the M27 within five minutes drives, you're on to a winner all round! Overall, a really enjoyable three nights and would have no hesitation in going back.

August 2016

This is our third year at Gateways, my family get excited when I tell them I have booked it again. Its very good for the little ones, very safe garden. The local eatery is very good as well, only walking distance for a Beer & good food. Roll on next year.

The pictures do not do this cottage justice, it is absolutely lovely and so spacious. The owners have thought of everything, the kitchen has every utensil you could need and the extra special touches such as leaving loads of board games and books was just lovely. Before staying i spoke to a lovely lady called Kerry and whilst there my husband spoke to a gentleman called John who both deal with the maintenance and housekeeping side I believe and they could not of been more helpful, not that we had any problems we just called regarding check in and out times but truly lovely people. I cant recommend this cottage highly enough and we have booked to go back again for a week in the summer. Can't wait!!!!!!
