This really is a delightful cottage, tastefully refurbished in 2017, and perched on the hillside with lovely views from the sunny decking of the wooded valley and upper Looe river. Here you can sit and soak up the sun, safe from the noise and bustle of Looe whilst enjoying a quiet read or an al fresco meal as you watch the sun sink behind the hills. The town itself, with its vibrant shops, cafes and restaurants, sandy beach and famous Banjo Pier, is only 10 minutes walk and the quintessential Cornish fishing village of Polperro is a short drive away. The South West Coastal path passes through Looe and offers some lovely walks with spectacular sea views, plus the whole of Celtic Cornwall is easily accessible for the explorers amongst you. For those arriving by train, the cottage is conveniently located just one minute by taxi or a few minutes walk uphill. Lowena retains many period features, has pine floorboards and is beautifully presented with a modern kitchen and spacious dining area. With its fabulous views and welcoming home from home feel, it is a perfect base for a memorable holiday. There will be tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk on your arrival.

"Totally enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage, the best place we have stayed in Looe, ever! Very quiet location, so batteries fully recharged! Very clean, very modern decor, very best holiday! Happy, happy, happy. Can we come again please?! 10/10."
"Lowena cottage was the best stay we have had in Looe. Very clean, quiet, great decor and even though it's situated at the top of a steep hill, we will definitely stay again if available. Top marks for Lowena 10/10. Could not stay in a better cottage."
Kitchen annexe with gas hob, electric oven and grill, washing machine and microwave. Kitchen/diner with sink, dishwasher, Smeg fridge/freezer and oak dining table to seat six. Living room with large picture window looking out to the valley, coir floor covering, period fireplace, two sofas, flat screen TV with integral DVD/CD, iPod dock and plenty of books, DVDs and games. Stairs up to bedrooms. Master bedroom with 4ft 6in double bed and lovely views of the valley. Bunk bedroom with 3ft single bunk beds. Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC.
From the lounge door, a wide decked area overlooks the garden and valley, amply furnished. Steps lead down to a pretty sloping garden with a child's seat tucked away in a shady spot. Small sunny courtyard with garden seat at the front of the property.
At one of the public car parks in Looe (weekly charges apply). You may stop briefly outside to unload, however as the cottage is up a very steep narrow hill, it is unwise for larger cars to drive up to the property.

Yes lovely cottage with a great atmosphere, nicely decorated
We had an excellent stay at this lovely cottage. There was an issue with rubbish collection and also with the toilet, both of which are being addressed by the manager of the property and so should not impact future guests. Would definitely recommend it!
A really enjoyable holiday.
Beautiful cottage, very clean and very dog friendly. Would definitely visit again. I lovely walk into Looe. Would like to thank the Cleaner and Caroline the house manager for looking for my phone and sending it back to me. Caroline was really helpful.
Great location for us as it wasn't far from the station or town but was far enough away that we weren't disturbed by any noise. Great view of the estuary. Lovely cottage.
Love this cottage so much. Perfectly placed and all the amenities you need. We will definitely be booking again for next year.
Yes we had a lovely time in Looe.
We had a fabulous week at Lowena cottage and Looe itself was lovely. We will definitely return.
We had a wonderful time !
This is our second visit to this cottage and it did not disappoint again, light, airy and spacious, well decorated with new carpets through out. The view is lovely from the decking area which is a nice little suntrap. Hills either side are quite steep but manageable, would not attempt to drive down road as very narrow. Will be back next year.
Wow what a lovely cottage, very clean
Beautiful cottage, light airy with lovely view. Obviously well loved by it's owners! Very peaceful but close to town centre of lovely Looe.Well recommended.
There was a problem with the toilet at the property, which was fixed within a matter of hours. We booked for a last minute break commencing on a Sunday, which limited the properties available, but Toad Hall properties contacted the owner of the property we were interested in and arranged for a Sunday arrival and got back to me very quickly. Excellent service.
We had a fantastic holiday and were more then happy with the property, location and service of your company
good service, concise instructions
thoroughly enjoyed the break cottage exceeded expectations
We had a great week at Lowena Cottage over Easter. The weather was so much better than London and we sat on the sunny deck enjoying the stunning views. The cottage is a perfect place to stay to explore Looe and its surroundings. We visited the Eden Project, Charlestown, Polperro (a scenic walk along the coast), and tried to make the most of pretty Looe at the same time. The holiday was enjoyed by young and old and we will be back for sure. This was our second stay and we look forward to the next time! : )) Must quickly say that the actual cottage has been kept immaculate by the owners and has all the mod cons and comforts. Highly recommended.
Wow, what views! Lovely wide sunny decking, all creature comforts provided, very clean. Outskirts of town so quiet location but near enough to walk to town and beach. Have been twice, will come again.
