Tucked away in a quiet sunny corner, this cosy retreat provides all the comforts of home and has a private decked area on which to enjoy a relaxing drink or some al fresco dining. The cleanliness inside the cottage was very good apart from the Velux window as mentioned above. It’s a shame that the standard and/or condition of some of the other cottages on the site was poor but we were fine and I met lots of lovely local people when out walking my little dog in the mornings. Very friendly locals and lovely location.
Beautifully clean and tidy when we arrived. Everything worked with no problems save for a slight leak in the washbasin's trap which was fixed within the hour after notifying the caretakers The heating, water heating, lighting and all other electrical appliances worked properly to give us a warm, cosy indoor stay. Outside, we walked locally, drove to selected spots and availed ourselves of the heated indoor pool. (The Highampton village post office is now closed as is the pub after a recent fire) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend you as Holiday Cottage Agents.
This cottage was the best I have ever stayed in. I left this message in the visitor's book too. Everything was superb, the quality of the furnishings, equipment was high spec. and the bed was so comfortable. Definitely the best week ever. Even the weather played ball.
We had a great week in the peekaboo cottage and would recommend it to friends lovely and peaceful. Thanks for a fab holiday.
