Description

Whiddon is an elegant and attractive stone barn, recently built and part of a small development of private converted barns in the popular coastal village of Thurlestone, close to the sea in South Devon.  Whiddon is spacious and comfortable, perfect for family holidays or friends and couples looking to relax and unwind.  The lounge is comfy, with plenty of seating surrounding a cosy wood burner and an archway leads through to a dining area and kitchen. French doors from the lounge and kitchen look out onto the garden and village church with rural views from the four good size bedrooms. Thurlestone has a good pub with restaurant, a well stocked village shop and access to the dramatic South West Coast Path as well as several beautiful sandy beaches.

Ground floor: Entrance hall.  Spacious lounge with leather sofas and armchairs, a corner wood burner and large Smart TV with Bluray DVD player.  French windows open onto the front garden. Kitchen diner with glass dining table to seat 8, also with french windows to the garden.  Kitchen with gas hob, built under electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Cloakroom WC and hand basin. First Floor: Master bedroom with 5ft King size bed and wardrobes, chest of drawers. Generous en suite bathroom with shower over bath, hand Basin, WC, shaver socket and towel rail. Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed with views towards the church and overlooking garden, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 3: Double 4ft 6in bed,  overlooking garden, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 4. Twin bedroom with 3ft beds and chest of drawers. Family Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin, WC, shaver socket and towel rail.

Two sets of French doors lead onto a front patio area with garden furniture overlooking a lawned walled garden, fenced and gated driveway. Rear door from half landing to enclosed rear garden backing onto fields.

We had a really good holiday. The location was perfect - in beautiful countryside with beaches in walking distance and a shop and nice pub just round the corner. The house was really comfortable and spacious. We loved the french windows onto the front garden.
